Videoswitch DVRs have been used in a new security system designed by IBS Security Systems Ltd for the Co-op in the North EastCoinciding with the New Year festivities, IBS Security Solutions Ltd was able to celebrate the completion of its 100th CCTV system upgrade, carried out on behalf of the North Eastern region of the Co-op.

Videoswitch also had reason to celebrate; as it is their DVRs which are at the heart of each of the upgraded systems.

Ian Stoddart of IBS Security Solutions Ltd, whose research led him to recommend Videoswitch's Vi series DVRs, explains: "The safety of Co-op staff is our client's top priority and so there is no way they would wish to compromise on security.  We also found that the Videoswitch DVRs could offer all the functionality required, at a price that made it cost effective to install in all 100 sites."

"From an installer's point of view, the Videoswitch DVRs removable hard drives are a great help as it means we don't have to take a unit away for servicing," added Mr Stoddart.

Phil Willsmer of the Co-operative Group said: "I am happy to endorse the range of Videoswitch products as we have found them to be very reliable, low cost to maintain and very user friendly for our staff in stores.  We have also found IBS to be an excellent partner in the North East with their enthusiasm and commitment to customer service delivery being exceptional."
