AEOS from Nedap is the first software-based security management platform. AEOS, which we developed in-house, uses generic controllers. Via Nedap's software, AEOS controllers can accommodate functionality for access control, intrusion detection, video management and locker management. All functionality and authorisations are stored on the controller level of the system. So your platform’s functionality is established by loading and configuring the appropriate AEOS software components.

When using AEOS Video, AEOS’ decentralised intelligence allows you to watch and store images locally while managing video as well as authorisations from your systems’ users centrally. Live footage can be shared among an unlimited number of client systems and is distributed over your network in an effective, efficient manner. This allows several people to watch live recordings at the same time, wherever they are, while ensuring your network is loaded efficiently.

AEOS’ intelligence on controller level has also led to a unique integration with intelligent Canon cameras. The intelligence of cameras to detect movements or left objects, for example, can currently only be arranged at server level. When integrating Canon cameras in AEOS, though, the cameras will send signals directly to the storage server, making additional systems and interfaces obsolete. This way, AEOS allows for quick and accurate interpretation of events by upscaling the video stream or locking doors immediately and automatically. At the same time this information is shown in the control room to respond to alarms manually.

Moreover, the information directly provided by your cameras is enriched with information regarding access control and intrusion detection, giving you the context to make accurate decisions and act instantly. Consequently, you get maximum control and protection of your premises and benefit from the unlimited scalability and extreme controllability that AEOS offers.
