The HDcctv Alliance® and Euresys are proud to announce the HDcctv™ compliance certification of the Picolo.net HD4. HDcctv cameras are a complementary alternative to MP IP cameras, because HDcctv-compliant cameras digitally deliver HD video over at least 100 meters of standard RG59 coaxial cables with no transmission delays and no compression artifacts.

Picolo.net HD4 initiates a new class of HDcctv-compliant products, the IP video encoder/streamer components. The Alliance has already certified many different types of products such as cameras (dome, box, bullet or PTZ), monitors, DVRs, matrix or repeaters. This variety of compliant products and components gives a large and growing choice for integrators to design flexible HDcctv-based video surveillance systems.

“The world’s leading CCTV equipment designers and manufacturers see the opportunity for Non-IP HD cameras to accelerate the transition to digital HD surveillance,” commented Todd E. Rockoff, Ph.D., HDcctv Alliance executive director. “Having passed the stringent HDcctv compliance certification tests provides Euresys a basis to warrant the electrical performance of the Picolo.net HD4. Moreover, HDcctv compliance is an assurance of no-fuss interoperability with compliant cameras from any vendor.”

The Picolo.net HD4, the IP video encoder from Euresys, features four HDcctv inputs and combines all the advantages of HD video with the benefits of HDcctv local-site transmission and ONVIF-compatible IP networking. With the Picolo.net HD4, the HDcctv video streams coming from the cameras can be transferred, viewed, analyzed and stored anywhere on the customer’s IP network.

"The Picolo.net HD4 is the device system integrators need to connect digital HDcctv cameras to IP video surveillance networks", says Euresys CEO Marc Damhaut.
