Hikvision, the global leader of video surveillance products and solutions, is proud to announce a mutually beneficial partnership with Western Digital the world's leading manufacturer of hard disk drives (HDD) to customise HDDs. This partnership not only facilitates the development of storage technology, but also provides the security market with a powerful video surveillance solution. Through this cooperation, Hikvision is able to change or add functionalities of HDDs to better meet the requirements of the ever-changing security market. These new HDDs are specially designed for Hikvision DVR products to provide an improved appearance and label design, as well as featuring different storage capacities (including 320GB, 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, and 3TB, etc.). Furthermore, different cache memories, including 8MB, 32MB, and 64MB are offered. These HDDs are also available for PVR and IPTV equipment.
