Hikvision plans to release several additional camera series in 2012
Hikvision is to explore ISP technology by mixing in electronic image stabilisation and defogging technology

In the coming year, Hikvision's focus will remain squarely on image quality as the company continues to meet its users' demand for crystal-clear images regardless of lighting conditions.

Over the past few years, Hikvision has made great effort in both research and development for its camera product lines. As such, IMS Research indicates market trends for 2012 will focus on image quality, and that high image quality does not fully equal to high resolution, there is much more that camera manufacturers still need to do.

Hikvision's R&D team believes the best way to improve overall image quality is by focusing on its ISP (Image Signal Processing) technology. ISP technology ensures image clarity through various facets, including automatic exposure, automatic white balance, auto focus, colour correction, gamma correction, WDR, 3D DNR (digital noise reduction) and low-light illumination - among others.

Yet, apart from enhancing these existing functionalities, Hikvision will also further explore ISP technology by mixing in other applications: such as Electronic Image Stabilisation - which solves the image blurring associated with camera movement, and defogging technology - which allows its cameras to deliver true color reproductions by eliminating fog interference.

Accordingly, Hikvision plans to release several additional camera series in 2012 - such as megapixel WDR cameras, low-light cameras and cameras with top-notch 3D DNR and defogging technologies - to broaden their impressive product portfolio.
