Hikvision, the global leader of video surveillance products and solutions, recently announced the availability of its new DS-2DF7286 2MP Network IR Speed Dome, together released is DS-2DF7276 offering 1.3MP resolution. Both cameras feature an industry-leading 30x optical zoom capability, as well as smart features to make surveillance easier. These two models offer users an excellent surveillance option for high-resolution and clear video monitoring as both provide long range visibility, 24 hours a day, in all lighting conditions.

As noted, the DS-2DF7286 and DS-2DF7276 Speed Domes stand out by offering a 30x optical zoom capability. This helps users observe close-up detail of distant objects and individuals. This can be particularly beneficial in environments where tracking and zooming are paramount (such as airports, highways, stadiums, and scenic sites).

An additional benefit offered by these two is “smart” features. Engineered with a smart tracking function, both domes can detect any progressively moving object and follow it within the camera’s area of coverage without fault. Facial detection is further supported to ensure that an individual's face is present in the picture during tracking. A smart defog feature is also incorporated to help improve the clarity of images captured in poor weather conditions, such as rain or fog; and smart IR technology is added to address the problem of over-exposure of IR LEDs at the centre of images.

Furthermore, another interesting feature is ROI (Region of Interest) encoding. This allows capture high resolution images of key information such as license plates and facial detection, and also decreases non-ROI’s image quality to save on overall bandwidth.

Utilising high performance CMOS, the DS-2DF7286 and DS-2DF7276 provide high-quality imaging with up-to 1920x1080 and 1280x960 resolution apiece. With true day / night capability, the two speed domes deliver detection level surveillance at distances of up-to 120 meters, even in total darkness. Finally, 3D DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) technology even helps to eliminate image noise in low-light conditions without creating ghosting and blurring; while Digital Wide Dynamic Range (DWDR) is supported to make these cameras ideal for locations where there may be a strong contrast in lighting conditions.
