Despite the current predominant trend towards IP for high-definition, analogue systems are not obsolete. As such, high-definition analogue systems have seen a progression from 540TVL to 600TVL, then 600TVL to 650TVL, and now even 700TVL. In respect of this, Hikvision never stops to seek the most innovative solutions on the market – as the new 720TVL PICADIS analogue series of cameras prove.

Featuring a new concept called PICADIS, the Hikvision 720TVL analogue cameras are designed as a “Perfect Imagery Capturing - Advanced Digital Image System.” Its goal is to better empower surveillance and achieve the highest level of image quality in the analogue world. Undoubtedly these are the best-in-class analogue camera in the market with unbeatable image performance.

Below is a selection of features that demonstrate the difference between Hikvision’s 720TVL PICADIS analogue cameras and other similar products on the market:

  • 720TVL Ultra-high Resolution

For more detailed images, Hikvision’s 720TVL PICADIS analogue camera series uses a 1.3MP image sensor to achieve ultra-high resolution at 1280x960.

  • High Dynamic Range

The 720TVL PICADIS analogue camera series utilises a HDR (High dynamic range) sensor unit, which provides a 20% increase of dynamic range over conventional 600TVL cameras. As such, this series captures clearer, and superior, images in both light and dark contrast environments.

  • Superior Video Image Output

The ISP processing unit of the 720TVL PICADIS analogue camera series uses an adaptive local brightness correction technique (ALTM – Adaptive Local Tone Mapping), which maximises performance and produces crystal-clear images.

  • Ultra Low-Light Illumination

The shutter speed of this series reaches 40ms when in poor light environments – which is twice that of conventional analogue cameras. This results in improved light sensitivity of the camera. Combined with Digital Noise Reduction, users are now able to discern shapes, sizes, and of course movement, in near total darkness.

Additional benefits offered by the 720TVL PICADIS analogue cameras include smart IR functionality which solves the overexposure issueswhenobject drawscloser to the camera, and wide temperature range of -40°C to 60°C (-40°F to 140°F) to ensure superb operation in awiderange of weather conditions.
