SALTO uses digital communications instead of paper to conserve trees and help minimise environmental impact |
World Environment Day ('WED') is celebrated every year on June 5 to raise global awareness of environmental issues as more and more people look to preserve the precious resources and environment of planet Earth.
Established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972 as the ‘people’s day’ for doing something positive for the environment, with the first World Environment Day celebrated in 1973, today it is the principal vehicle for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the environment.
Hosted every year by a different city with a different theme, WED 2014 is being hosted by Barbados, over the years it has grown to be a broad, global platform widely celebrated by stakeholders in over 100 countries.
SALTO Systems are proud to support World Environment Day. We’re passionate about environmental excellence that’s why we’re ISO 14001 accredited and always working hard to reduce our impact on the environment.
Designing products and packing that are sustainable and responsible, reducing our electricity consumption, and using digital communications instead of paper to conserve trees are just some of the many ways we helping to minimise our impact on the environment.
Join us in celebrating World Environment Day and help us make our planet a better, cleaner pace for us all to live.
