Ipsotek will be discussing video analytics software, such as its V10 intelligent scene analysis system, at IFSEC 2008Ipsotek's video analytics software is used in the most world's most demanding security environments, including Afghanistan, and recent UK deployments include iconic sites in the capital such as the London Eye and The O2.

With over 10 years' experience in a young industry, Ipsotek has achieved several firsts including scenario-based detection, virtual perspective and the full integration of audio and video analytics.

Ipsotek's Visual Intelligence Suite offers a set of algorithms that can analyse and detect potentially undesirable behaviour including theft, unauthorised access, unusual movement of vehicles and even platform suicide.

At IFSEC 2008 (stand 783), Ipsotek will be demonstrating its Virtual Turnstile, a solution in which radio frequency identification (RFID) and video-based people counting validate each other for integrity.

On their own, neither RFID nor video counting provides foolproof access control.  However, Ipsotek's unique solution combines the best of both technologies as each system continually validates the other.  The product has all the benefits of physical turnstiles but can be used where they are too slow and restrictive.

Ipsotek is part of the seminar programme at IFSEC 2008 and on Thursday will be discussing intelligent management of traffic through video analytics including visual "sweeping" of carriageways and hard shoulders.
