Unipart's Monitoring and Response Centre was officially opened by Jeff Little OBE, Chief Executive, NSI

Unipart Security Solutions Ltd, new Monitoring and Response Centre in Oxford was officially opened by Jeff Little OBE, Chief Executive of the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) at a ceremony which took place on 1st March, 2011.

"Today is a visible declaration that Unipart Security has set the highest standards of operation," said Jeff Little. "Early discussions with the NSI ensured that this ARC/ RVRC was designed and built from the start with the standards in mind. The physical construction and meeting the requirements of BS 5979 CAT II was just one part of the equation. Achieving the additional requirements of the BS 8418 standard for detector activated remotely monitored CCTV systems also took a great deal of effort and I congratulate the Unipart team for all their hard work."

In addition to intruder, fire and CCTV system monitoring, the new NSI Gold Category II Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and Remote Video Response Centre (RVRC) accredited facility is able to provide a wide range of other monitoring services including asset and vehicle tracking, lone worker protection, manned security management and a 24 hour support desk.

"Unipart security was the first company in the UK to attain both the National Security Inspectorate's ‘Guarding Gold Award' and the security industry authority's ‘Approved Contractor Scheme' award, using the NSI passport route," said Jeff Little. "Together with NSI Gold accreditation of this superb new Monitoring & Response Centre, this puts Unipart in the very top tier of the industry."
