ISC West attendees can get hands on with the award-winning Securitron R100 in the ASSA ABLOY
The R100 surface mounted wireless reader significantly extends the reach and application of access control

Securitron, an ASSA ABLOY Group company, is bringing access control to new applications with its new R100 Surface Mounted Wireless Reader with Aperio® technology. The R100 was awarded ‘Best in Access Control Products Wireless’ from the Security Industry Association’s 2014 New Product Showcase.

Capable of mounting directly on glass, stone, granite or marble entryways without drilling, the R100 significantly extends the reach and application of access control. ISC West attendees can get hands on with the award-winning R100 in the ASSA ABLOY booth #8061 in the Sands Convention Center.

“We are extremely thrilled with SIA’s recognition of the R100 for its annual New Product Showcase,” said Scott Baker, President of ASSA ABLOY EMS & OEM Group. “If a customer is looking to install access control on a glass entryway, the R100 is simply the ideal choice. No longer do you have to pull wires, drill holes or create special credential pedestals near the entryway. The decreased installation time alone makes the R100 a superior solution.”

Aperio further simplifies the installation, wirelessly linking the R100 to a new or existing access control system. It transmits credentials for request to entry in real time and uses a convenient card system that can be used with existing ID badges. The R100 reader is available in two frequency models, each supporting a range of technologies along with NFC compatibility via Seos.

The R100 is fully potted to operate in a wide range of outdoor temperatures, protected from moisture, heat and cold. It features low battery signalling and reporting with up to 35,000 cycles per battery. The R100 is FCC and IC Compliant.
