The Securitech QID lock is 100% code compliant and the only solution that combines the locking lever handle with the deadbolt in a single push button action
Highlights at the event include QID (Quick Intruder Deadbolt) classroom lock, LEXI control trim, and host of other solution-driven products

Leveraging their many years of expertise in high security locking devices for commercial, government, school and medical facilities, Securitech’s exhibit at ISC West 2015 is a showcase of innovation and industry firsts. Highlights include the ground-breaking QID™ (Quick Intruder Deadbolt) classroom lock that, with one press of the button, provides instant activation and deadbolt protection to a classroom door; LEXI™ retrofit control trim for securing school entrances; and a host of other solution-driven products.

“Every Securitech product is created to solve a real-life problem that someone is struggling with,” said Mark Berger, President and Chief Product Officer, Securitech. “The QID lock gives educators a single red button to keep students and teachers safe. Our ultimate objective is to build a more secure world, one door at a time.”

QID™ (Quick Intruder Deadbolt) lock – Provides instant activation and deadbolt protection

Designed to exceed safe school government standards set out by the Department of Homeland Security (FEMA-428/BIPS-07), the QID functions as a classroom lock for everyday use but features the unique ability to instantly deadbolt a classroom door with the simple push of a single red button. With one press, the person closest to the door can instantly activate the deadbolt and lock the outside lever handle. A visual indicator lets the teacher know that the door is secured by the QID deadbolt. The QID also meets recommendations set out in the Final Report of the Sandy Hook Advisory Commission requiring that all classrooms in K-12 schools have doors that can be locked from the inside by the classroom teacher or substitute.

The Securitech QID lock is 100% code compliant and the only solution that combines the locking lever handle with the deadbolt in a single push button action for the highest strength and security. Just as important, the door can always be unlocked by key from the outside, enabling access by first responders and authorised individuals, while single-action egress is always possible from inside the room.

LEXI Control Trim - Secures school entrances

Also featured is Securitech’s LEXI Control Trim, the easiest way to add electric release and improve control at school entrance doors. Retrofitting LEXI control trim to various exit devices is fast and easy and it can be used with most major manufacturers’ exit devices. Securitech’s Trident™ multi-point locks for advanced forced entry protection as well as other entry and exit control systems are also on display.
