Avigilon, a leader in high-definition (HD) and megapixel video surveillance solutions, recently released a new version of Avigilon Control Center Mobile (ACC Mobile) that supports Android smartphones and tablet devices, enabling security professionals to connect to the Avigilon Control Center Network Video Management Software (NVMS) platform over any IP wireless network. Also supporting Apple devices including the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch, ACC Mobile enables operators to view live and recorded surveillance video while in the field to dramatically shorten response times.

"The number of smartphones and tablet devices that run on the Android mobile operation system continues to grow every day", said Keith Marett, director of marketing and communications at Avigilon. By providing remote access to high-definition surveillance video from both Android and Apple devices, ACC Mobile gives security professionals using any mobile device the tool they need to respond immediately to incidents from any location and at any time.

Leveraging Avigilon's High-Definition Stream Management (HDSM) technology, ACC Mobile is designed to efficiently support high-megapixel images and detail of up to 29 MP over low-bandwidth connections. Through the Avigilon Control Center Gateway, ACC Mobile can easily connect to an unlimited number of servers and cameras expanding access to video surveillance data for greater coverage and remote monitoring. The new version of ACC Mobile is available on Google's Android Market for downloading at https://market.android.com.
