Avigilon hires industry-leading professionals to promote sales oriented progress within the organisation to manage record-breaking growth effectively.

Avigilon, the performance and value leader in high definition (HD) and megapixel video surveillance systems announced that it has promoted key executives within the organization and hired three new sales executives to effectively address the growing demand for the company's award-winning HD surveillance solution around the world. 

"With a 300 percent growth rate year over year since 2007, we continue to demonstrate our unrelenting commitment to excellence," said Alexander Fernandes, president and CEO at Avigilon. "By adding experienced and highly respected professionals and promoting high-performance individuals from within the company, we will remain well-positioned to handle the fast-pace growth we expect in 2011 and beyond."

The top global sales performer in 2008 and 2009, Bryan Schmode has been promoted to vice president of sales for the Americas and Asia Pacific, responsible for heading up Avigilon's business operations to support continued growth throughout the Americas and Asia Pacific. A top sales performer at Avigilon for the past three years, Brian Giampaoli has been promoted to senior sales director for the Eastern United States, responsible for managing customer, integrator, and consultant relationships and generating growth in the region.

Bryan Terrell has been appointed to the newly created position of regional sales director for the South Central United States and will be responsible for managing existing customer needs and bolstering sales in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Bryan comes to Avigilon from Convergint Technologies, a systems integrator, where he served as an account executive for integrated security sales. While there, Bryan successfully managed clients including the Dallas Independent School District, Southwest Airlines, and Raytheon NCS Division.

Gary Thomas will take on the role of regional sales director for the Pacific Northwest, responsible for meeting the growing market demand for Avigilon's award winning HD surveillance solutions in the region. Gary joins Avigilon from IQinVision where he was the regional sales manager for the Southwest. He brings an extensive background in IP video surveillance selling to high profile critical infrastructure accounts including major airports, seaports, mass transit, USN, and USAF. Gary has been the top sales producer at Agent Vi, Vidient, VisitaScape and Lucent Technologies where he managed sales organizations and secured large reference accounts.

Kaj Långström has been appointed the regional sales director for the Nordic countries and the Baltics, responsible for driving sales and supporting Avigilon customers and partners in the region. Before joining Avigilon, Kaj was a sales manager at Mirasys, Ltd., a European provider of IP video and audio surveillance solutions, where he grew sales on average of 20 percent annually in Scandinavia, Benelux, and the Baltics. While there, Kaj was responsible for sales to more than 500 bank branches, 8,000 cameras to the biggest retail chain in Norway, and more than 3,000 cameras to the telecommunications industry in Benelux. Previously, Kaj was an account manager at Dell Inc. in Finland, where he sold complete IT solutions for the small and mid-sized market.
