Avigilon is Best New Exporter in the 2010 BC Export Awards
The BC Export Awards recognise the valuable role exporters, such as Avigilon, play in the BC Economy
Avigilon, the performance and value leader in high definition (HD) and megapixel video surveillance systems, announced that it has been named Best New Exporter in the 2010 BC Export Awards. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Investment and Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME), the BC Export Awards recognise the valuable role exporters, such as Avigilon, play in the BC Economy.

"The nominees and winners this year have all demonstrated the leadership and innovation that drives BC's export industry. Despite continued economic challenges, they continue to grow their businesses and have helped our province achieve impressive export numbers," said Craig Williams, Vice President BC Division, CME. "It is important that we continue to recognise their achievements and the important role they play in the success of our economy."

The BC Export award is the fourth award that Avigilon has received in 2010, recognising the company's impressive growth. This year alone, Avigilon was also named one of the top five fastest growing technology companies in Canada in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50; earned a spot on Red Herring's North America 100 list, a prestigious list honouring the year's most promising private technology ventures in North America; and was also named BCTIA's "Emerging Company of the Year".

"With triple-digit revenue growth and numerous business and technology awards, 2010 has been a banner year for Avigilon," said Alexander Fernandes, President and CEO of Avigilon. "We are excited to be recognised for our contributions to BC's thriving export economy."
