Avigilon expands sales team in EMEA to meet growing demand for High Definition Surveillance
Avigilon recently announced the appointment of Pedro Simoes as the company's director of sales for Spain, Portugal, and Africa; Celestino Gheoni as director of sales for Italy, Greece, and the Balkans; and Stefan Teuber as sales manager for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Simoes, Gheoni, and Teuber will be responsible for all sales activities required to support the needs of each region's expanding market.

Based in Lisbon, Portugal, Simoes comes to Avigilon from Vicon, where he managed similar territory for the past four years.  Prior to Vicon, Simoes was with Multifrota as a full solution sales executive responsible for access control, video surveillance, and car park technologies. Simoes has also held positions of increasing responsibilities with MECI, Ericom, and Scitex, all organisations that serve the telecommunications and printing industries.

Celestino Gheoni, Director of Sales for Italy, Greece, and the Balkans

Based in Milan, Italy, Gheoni joins Avigilon from Vicon, where he was a country manager responsible for the management of pre and post-sales, and all general sales activities.  Prior to Vicon, Gheoni held positions with Sensormatic, Automated Security Italia SRL, Eseelte Business Systems SPA, and Computer Technical Service SNC serving the retail, EAS, and banking IT services sectors.

Additions to sales team will help meet customer needs

Based in Munich, Germany, Teuber joins Avigilon from Milestone Systems, where he was responsible for creating a sales network for IP Video software, managing customer relations with distributors and system integrators, negotiating prices and conditions, and developing new partnerships. Prior to Milestone Systems, Teuber held positions with SANYO, Convision, Pro Traffic Service GmbH, and Gesamtzentrum für Verkehr Braunschweig e.V., serving the security and surveillance marketplace.

Simoes, Gheoni, and Teuber will report to Kim Langstrom, managing director of Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and will manage customer, integrator, and consultant relationships, provide technical expertise and support, and develop new business opportunities for the company in their respective regions.
