Perth Airport will install Aimetis Symphony to 570 new and existing analogue and IP cameras
Symphony VMS provides a single platform for upgrading existing CCTV system to operate over an IP network

Aimetis Corp., a global leader in intelligent video management software, recently announced that Aimetis Symphony™ has been installed as the video management software platform for Perth Airport.

Aimetis Symphony™ provides the airport with a single platform for upgrading the existing analogue CCTV system to operate over an IP network, as well as providing a scalable system to easily add new network cameras to the airport as needed.

"The use of network video management software is a critical element of our airport physical security strategy," said Fiona Lander, Executive General Manager, Perth Airport.

"Based on our analysis of the market, Aimetis Symphony™ stood out from other software in terms of reliability and quality for projects of this large scale”, she said

Initially, Perth Airport will install Aimetis Symphony™ to 570 new and existing analogue and IP cameras, with approximately 20 per cent of cameras running Aimetis video analytics. The number of cameras is estimated to expand significantly, as the airport redevelopment unfolds and growth continues.

Perth Airport is one of the largest airports in Australia, handling more than 13 million passengers each year. Built in the early 1940s, there are more than 8,000 staff employed across the Perth Airport estate, with more than 120 tenants and retailers.

"The transportation segment is one of the key vertical markets where Aimetis solutions add tremendous value to our customers” said Marc Holtenhoff, Chief Executive Officer, Aimetis “We are extremely pleased that Perth Airport has selected Aimetis Symphony™ as their video management platform."
