Aimetis Corp. added automatic License Plate Recognition to Aimetis Symphony

Aimetis Corp., a global leader in intelligent IP video management software, announced at ISC West that it has added automatic License Plate Recognition to Aimetis Symphony™, complementing other VE Series analytic applications it offers, such as Vehicle Stopping and Left Item Detection.

It also released Aimetis People Counter 2.0 for Axis network cameras with improved reporting capabilities and simplified setup.

Automatic License Plate Recognition Bows

The company's new Automatic License Plate Recognition enables Aimetis Symphony to record license plate numbers via networked video cameras. The new capabilities are ideal for parking lot applications in diverse settings such as airports, educational campuses and city lots to ensure proper payment and security, as well as intelligent traffic systems to ensure traffic compliance.

The company also announced a physical security appliance at ISC West.

Aimetis Symphony combines robust video management and video analytics in one unified software platform. By analysing video in real-time, organisations can achieve the desired business impact through timely and actionable information. Aimetis Symphony's simple and straightforward licensing options offer maximum flexibility, ease of use, and a cost-effective entry point for the seamless migration to IP-Surveillance. All of this is backed by the industry's best support.

"Based upon customer feedback, Automatic License Plate Recognition was the most sought after feature to complement Symphony's leading-edge analytic capabilities," said Marc Holtenhoff, CEO, Aimetis Corp. "We listened to customers and they now have a complete set of video analytics for diverse applications."

Aimetis also introduced the Aimetis People Counter 2.0 for Axis network cameras

  • Proven Video Analytics - Aimetis VE Series video analytics are seamlessly incorporated into Aimetis Symphony, analysing video in real-time and providing organisations with intelligent information at their fingertips. Aimetis People Counter is an embedded video analytics software application for use with several Axis Communications network video products.

People Counter For Axis Network Cameras Enhanced

The latest version of Aimetis People Counter works specifically with Axis cameras, with improved reporting and easier setup. It tracks the bi-directional flow of objects as they pass through a user definable line. The application is designed for entrances and exits and minimises counting errors caused by environmental factors such as shadows, lighting changes and reflections. Aimetis People Counter provides on-camera reporting that can be queried by hour, day, month or year. Reports are available as tables and charts to make communication of intelligent video data simple and informative. Results can be exported directly into Microsoft Excel.

License Plate Recognition works with any standard video camera and will be available in May 2011 from Aimetis channel partners. Licensing is simple and straightforward, requiring a per server fee of $5,500.00 US and includes an enterprise license for one camera.
