HID Global creates new path with its complete mobile access ecosystem of products and solutions |
HID Global, trusted leader in solutions for the delivery of secure identity, recently announced that the company’s mobile access strategy briefing recently held during ISC West 2012 is now available via webcast on-demand. During the event, HID and its parent company ASSA ABLOY examined the growing market opportunities as access control goes mobile to deliver new ways for the industry to create, use and manage secure identity.
“A quantum leap in secure identity is upon us as the mobile access industry rapidly emerges, signifying a transformation from cards, readers, controllers, locks to virtual products operating in trusted networks and mobile platforms,” said Denis Hébert, president and CEO of HID Global. “This shift entails new business models for how we operate, and HID Global is forging a new path in the industry with our complete mobile access ecosystem of products, solutions and services that enables organizations to take full advantage of both the convenience and security of utilizing mobile keys and digital credentials on NFC-enabled smartphones.”
In addition to discussing how ASSA ABLOY, HID Global and their partners are helping take NFC-enabled mobile access into new markets and applications, the two companies also conducted live demonstrations of NFC smartphones being used to open doors and access computers in a variety of rapidly emerging applications. Key demonstrations in the webcast feature HID’s iCLASS SE next-generation platform that won this year’s Security Industry Association (SIA) New Product Showcase award for Best Access Control Solution and the companies’ broad mobile access ecosystem technologies, including:
- Moving access control into the digital home with smartphones that carry mobile keys to open residential doors equipped with Yale Real Living locks;
- Using a single smartphone with HID Global mobile keys to access secure doors and log-in to a computer or network;
- Generating smart tokens right on your smartphone, without having to carry any other computer logon devices;
- Using a mobile service bureau for on-demand, over-the-air credential provisioning that improves speed, security and convenience
