Access control developments displayed at innovations event hosted by ASSA ABLOY and Controlsoft
The event strengthens a newly formed partnership between Controlsoft and ASSA ABLOY Access Control

Systems integrators from across the industry enjoyed an insight into the latest combinations in access control technology at a recent innovations event, jointly hosted by ASSA ABLOY Access Control and Controlsoft.

The event, which took place at ASSA ABLOY Access Control's Watford training academy, provided delegates with a practical introduction to Controlsoft's I-Net system architecture and ASSA ABLOY's Aperio enabling technology, through a series of seminars and live demonstrations.

The event also included a preview of upcoming innovations from both companies and an open forum for delegates to discuss potential Aperio and I-Net applications.

The event strengthens a newly formed partnership between Controlsoft and ASSA ABLOY Access Control. A developer, manufacturer and distributor of access control solutions, Controlsoft is supported by an international network of distribution and installation associates.

Says Russell Wagstaff, Technical Director with ASSA ABLOY Access Control: "This joint event was a great success, bringing together Controlsoft's gold system integrators and providing them with a practical opportunity to familiarise themselves with the I-Net controller and Aperio."

"This is the first in a series of events with our partners, designed to help systems integrators understand and benefit from the latest developments in access control technology."

The I-Net Intelligent Door Control Unit from Controlsoft provides a single board solution for interfacing doors to an access control system

Aperio enabling technology is designed to upgrade mechanical doors and wirelessly connect them to existing electronic access control systems.

The I-Net Intelligent Door Control Unit from Controlsoft provides a single board solution for interfacing doors to an access control system and is capable of operating up to 16 Aperio locksets.

Jonathan Summers, Managing Director of Controlsoft, added: "We received some exceptional comments from delegates on how professional, insightful and valuable the event was. Together with ASSA ABLOY Access Control, we are keen to deliver more sessions like this to keep everyone up- to-date with the very latest technology innovations."
