Arecont Vision receives North American New Product Innovation Award in Cameras for IP based Video Surveillance
The New Product Innovation Award is based on quantitative and qualitative metrics developed by Frost & Sullivan

Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, has been honoured with Frost & Sullivan’s 2011 North American New Product Innovation Award in Cameras for IP based Video Surveillance.

In making the announcement, Scott Schafer, Executive Vice President, Arecont Vision, said, “The New Product Innovation Award from Frost & Sullivan is a prestigious recognition of Arecont Vision’s accomplishments in IP cameras. We are deeply appreciative of this honour and its acknowledgement of the growing importance of megapixel technology in IP video surveillance.”

The New Product Innovation Award is based on quantitative and qualitative metrics developed by Frost & Sullivan. The following categories were included in the criteria used to benchmark Arecont Vision’s performance against key competitors:

  • Innovative Elements of the Product
  • Leading Edge Technologies Leveraged in the Product
  • Value Added Features/Benefits
  • Increased Customer ROI
  • Customer Acquisition/Penetration Potential

In all categories, Arecont Vision scored higher or equivalent to its competitors.

“The growing IP market still faces some challenges in the migration from analogue video surveillance due to certain misconceptions,” said Rinita Sen, Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst. “Arecont Vision’s cost-effective solutions address these perceptions, many of which are clearly now misperceptions, with advanced megapixel IP cameras including panoramic view cameras.”
