Arecont Vision creates program to educate surveillance video market on benefits of megapixel cameras
Arecont Vision launches Channel Partner Certification Program

Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, is also taking the lead in educating the video surveillance market on the benefits of megapixel cameras through its Channel Partner Certification Program. Over 400 integrators, value added resellers, distributors, architects and engineers have participated in the program since its inception in June 2009. With a goal of reaching 1,000 participants by the end of the year, Arecont Vision plans a busy schedule of Channel Partner Certification training classes this fall, including sessions in St. Louis, MO; Philadelphia, PA; Alexandria, VA; Oklahoma City, OK, Boston,
MA; Atlanta, GA; Raleigh, NC, Toronto, Ontario; Mexico City, Mexico; Taipei, Taiwan; Singapore; and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Reflecting Arecont Vision's worldwide leadership in megapixel technology, the certification program's classes are educating attendees on the benefits of megapixel technology in general as well as Arecont Vision's market-leading products. The Channel Partner Certification Program will expand in 2010 to include a Design Certification Course to be launched within the first few months of the New Year.

"Security Industry professionals are looking for information on how to most efficiently incorporate high performance megapixel imaging into their video systems," said Scott Schafer, Arecont Vision Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Our Channel Partner Certification Program is structured to provide resellers with the information they need to take advantage of megapixel imaging technology - and to expand their business opportunities."

Certified resellers learn how to develop complete megapixel solutions, receive a Certificate of Completion and can promote their certification to customers. The Channel Partner Certification course covers the advantages of H.264 video compression and how Arecont Vision implements the standard; understanding pixel density/pixels on target; optics and sensor technology (CMOS vs. CCD); and hands-on instruction about setup, configuration and troubleshooting.
