MegaLab allows system integrators to test various system configurations using NVR and VMS solutions

Arecont Vision, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, is creating a heightened industry focus on the company’s innovative MegaLab® system integration testing facilities in Los Angeles, CA. MegaLab allows system integrators to test various system configurations using industry leading network video recorder (NVR) and video management system (VMS) solutions employing Arecont Vision’s comprehensive line of megapixel cameras to ensure that optimal system bandwidth load capacities and desired functionality are achieved. To provide easy access to MegaLab’s extensive resources, technology partners can perform tests on-site at the facilities or remotely via the Internet.

“MegaLab provides our technology partners with exclusive access to the most advanced megapixel imaging, video management and recording technologies available to test their system designs in a highly controlled environment,” said Diego Simkin, Technology Partner Manager, Arecont Vision. “The results of these tests can have a dramatic effect on how effectively and efficiently our partners market, sell and install megapixel camera systems.”

Three certification tests are offered through MegaLab including camera integration, feature integration and load testing. Product testing is by appointment and generally takes one day either on-site or via remote connection to the MegaLab. Tests are run with the assistance of Mr. Simkin to ensure operational efficiency and validity. Compatibility results are posted to the Arecont Vision website, making it easier and more convenient for end users, system integrators and architects and engineers to review and select system components for projects.

MegaLab is equipped with multi-core Xeon servers that offer both virtualised and physical environments that are connected to more than 100 Arecont Vision megapixel cameras. This allows technology partners to perform various tests and integration tasks that they can store and replicate for future proposals and system implantations.
