Arecont Vision® STELLAR™ technology expands low-light performance by reducing motion blur and noise
The cameras also include CorridorView™ for better coverage in hallways and corridors

Arecont Vision®, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, has enhanced the performance of its MegaBall® all-in-one indoor Day/Night H.264 megapixel camera series.

The second generation MegaBall® G2 cameras are now equipped with STELLAR™ (Spatio TEmporal Low Light ARchitecture) and Smart IR technologies for enhanced low light performance.  The cameras also include CorridorView™ for better coverage in hallways and corridors, the ability to scale images to different resolutions, optional on-board SDMC storage up to 32GB via an SDHC card slot, and a new housing style. MegaBall® G2 cameras are available with 1.2MP, 1080p, 1080p WDR, 3MP, 3MP WDR, and 5MP resolutions.

“Innovative features like our STELLAR™ and Smart IR technologies that dramatically improve low light performance have now been added to MegaBall® G2 to further increase their exceptional performance, efficiency and versatility,” said Brad Donaldson, Director of Product Management, Arecont Vision®. “With all of the new features, the MegaBall® series continues to be an outstanding surveillance camera for a wide range of indoor applications.”

Clear images in low-light:

Arecont Vision® STELLAR™ technology expands low-light performance by reducing motion blur and noise, enhancing contrast, and enabling colour imaging in near complete darkness. The compact yet powerful cameras have been further enhanced with Smart IR technology so that images always remain clear by adjusting the angle and intensity of the beam to optimise the image.

CorridorView™ allows the MegaBall® G2’s image to be rotated 90 degrees for increased coverage of hallways and corridors. It also offers image scaling to different resolutions to address system bandwidth and storage requirements.

Additional features:

The feature rich MegaBall® G2 cameras also include a remote focus/zoom p-iris lens for fast and easy set-up and better imaging, and an optional Panamorph lens for 180° and 360° viewing on 5MP models.

MegaBall® G2 features Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) up to 100dB at full resolution on 1080p and 3MP models, an integrated cable management structure, and 3-axis adjustment capability to simplify installation. The cameras are available in a dome configuration for surface or flush mounting, and a new bell mount configuration featuring Smart IR Technology.
