Delegates will also be given the chance to see a wide range of products and services from an array of different exhibitors
The event aims to provide a dedicated forum for information destruction professionals to share technology

With 100% of previous delegates planning to return to the event in 2013, the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) is encouraging delegates to register early for its annual Information Destruction Exhibition and Conference.

The annual event – now in its fifth year – is organised by the BSIA’s Information Destruction section, and aims to provide a dedicated forum for information destruction professionals to share best practice and learn about recent developments in legislation, standards and technology.

Following the success of this year’s event, 2013’s conference promises to deliver an informative and varied programme, covering topics such as the environmental issues surrounding information destruction, investing for growth, and the procurement perspective of buying information destruction services. Delegates will also be given the chance to see a wide range of products and services from an array of different exhibitors.

Anthony Pearlgood, Chairman of the BSIA’s Information Destruction section, comments: “This event grows in popularity each year. 75% of delegates surveyed from 2012’s event had previously attended the exhibition, and 100% of respondents said that they would be attending it again in 2013.”

The exhibition also gives delegates the opportunity to  see a wide range of products and services from exhibitors. Past exhibitors have included manufacturers of shredding machinery, makers of secure bags and a paper mill which buys paper products from ID companies.

Speaking about his time at 2012’s event, Richard Mcllwaine-Biggins, of member company DiskShred, described it as “a great opportunity to network with my peers and see some of the latest technology first hand. Any time out of the office has to be justified and this was time well spent.”

A substantial early-bird discount is also available for delegates who book their places before February 28th.

The conference will be taking place on Wednesday 5th June, 2013 at the National Motorcycle Museum, which is located next to the NEC in Birmingham. This year’s event was also held here, with 90% of attendees rating the location highly.
