Information destruction industry share knowledge and expertise at British Security Industry Association event
The BSIA event provided a platform for industry suppliers to exhibit their products and services
Leading suppliers and service providers from the information destruction industry were united on 9th June at a conference and exhibition hosted by the British Security Industry Association (BSIA).

"Since changes to the law have introduced hefty fines for any company found to be in breach of the Data Protection Act, sharing best practice is now more important than ever in our rapidly growing industry," commented Russell Harris, Chairman of the BSIA's Information Destruction Section.

"More and more businesses are turning to professional information destruction providers to ensure that their confidential material is disposed of in a legally compliant manner. The BSIA's conference and exhibition brought together the industry's major players and suppliers, enabling the sharing of best practice and valuable information on industry trends that will enable us to better serve our expanding customer base."

Delegates were treated to informative presentations from organisations such as Cambridge Professional Academy, SCA Recycling UK Ltd, Statius Management Services and KPMG LLP, on a range of topics including mergers and acquisitions, marketing and strategy and recycling for profit.

Sponsored by Global Recycling Ltd, AXO Shredders and Vecoplan, the event provided a platform for industry suppliers to exhibit their products and services and engage with their target customer base. Headline sponsor and exhibitor Paul Caldwell of Global Recycling Ltd commented: "As exhibitors, we found that this event provided a valuable and cost-effective opportunity to engage with the industry and build relationships with both new and existing clients."
