Middle Atlantic Products is introducing non-sacrificial, non-degrading surge protection for its most advanced power monitoring and management products to date. The company’s patent-pending Series Protection™ technology is now available in new models of RackLink Power Management products.

The RackLink™ suite of products features extensive monitoring and preemptive support functions to provide installers with flexible, intelligent power monitoring and management for security and surveillance systems. They are the first of their kind that are capable of maintaining security system reliability through automatic actions that include automatic reboot, turning on emergency fans and shutting down equipment for safety in overload or over-temperature conditions.

In addition to series type surge suppression, the new RackLink system models provide advanced functionality like programmable sequencing, emergency Power Off with automatic recovery option and auto shutdown in over and under-voltage events with automatic recovery. They offer more controlled outlets and feature front panel control of individual outlets, along with a ‘disable’ function to prevent unauthorised access. There is also a new half rack size model for compact spaces.

RackLink offers simple, plug-and-play functionality and communication flexibility. In addition to providing essential functions expected of any power management system, including local, remote and automatic reboot of individual outlets and dry contacts, the RackLink system also offers proactive power management. These practical features include input voltage and temperature monitoring, as well as user-defined monitoring of thresholds and logging and issuing of email alerts if monitored values breach user-selected thresholds. All this functionality ensures that system downtime is minimised and system performance for any kind of security facility is optimised.
