SARGENT Manufacturing Company, a market leader in locksets, exit devices, door closers, access control locks and related products, and ASSA ABLOY Group company, expands its Behavioural Health Series of hardware with the new BHL trim.

Ideal for behavioural health and many other healthcare facilities, the BHL trim offers strength, durability and flexibility while minimising patient risk in these difficult environments. Sloped surfaces and overlapping rose and lever construction allow the BHL to address safety concerns common in many behavioural health settings and makes it appropriate on patient room doors.

The BHL trim uses the SARGENT 8200 mortise lock, which exceeds ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 requirements. The lock provides exceptional strength and durability to withstand abusive environments.

Available in 21 functions including Passage, Privacy, Asylum/Institutional, Institutional Privacy and 4 electrified options, the BHL is flexible enough to be used throughout the facility. The SARGENT 8200 mortise lock with BHL trim also retrofits any door that has been prepared with ANSI A115.1 standard mortise door prep, making it ideal for changing room requirements.

The SARGENT 8200 mortise lock with BHL trim is UL Listed for use with Fire Rated doors. It is also ADA compliant, meeting A117.1 Accessibility Code and BOMA International 4.13.8.

Microshield®, an optional antimicrobial coating, provides necessary protection desired in healthcare; and a matching thumbturn rounds out the look and feel of the trim. The BHL trim is also covered by an extensive, 10-year limited warranty.
