The most successful family of powered mixers on the global pro audio scene has a new member. In the PowerMate 600-3, DYNACORD presents an enormously powerful, flexible and lavishly equipped system. The PowerMate 600-3 is suitable – thanks to its no-compromise approach – for all professional applications in which few channels yet very high amplifier output are required.

Like that of the other models of the third PowerMate generation launched prior to the end of 2010, the concept of the PowerMate 600-3 is based on high power, a wealth of features and first class audio characteristics – in a lightweight format. The youngest offspring of the PowerMate family weighs in at a mere nine kilos. With a total output of over 2.000 watts, however, it nonetheless ranks currently as the most powerful compact mixer of its class on the world market.

The feature set of the PowerMate 600-3 includes extremely low-noise and low-hum, electronically balanced XLR microphone inputs (extremely low THD, typically

"With the 'small' eight-channel PowerMate, we are responding to an oft-expressed wish of our customers," says DYNACORD's Senior Product Manager, Martin Traut. "As is the case with all the PowerMates, even in this ultra-compact system every function group meets the highest concert sound requirements."

PowerMate 600-3 – the components in detail

1. Mixer

The PowerMate 600-3 features a professionally equipped live mixer with eight channel strips. Exceptionally high-quality components and an extremely low-noise microphone preamp, a low-cut filer and 9-band master stereo equaliser guarantee concert sound performance. An integrated 4 x I/0 USB 2.0 audio interface achieves semi-professional studio quality, making the device suitable for live and studio recording as well as the playback of recordings and interval music. The contrast-rich OLED display offers a high degree of user comfort – even in bright environments.

2. Power amplifier

The high-power Class-D amplifier, which meets professional standards, delivers 2 x 1.000 watts RMS (into 4 ohms). Despite the enormous power, the device is highly efficient at reduced thermal losses and power consumption. The innovative power management technology permits individual adjustment to the speakers used (even those with modest power handling capacities) whilst retaining the full dynamic range of the power amplifiers. Thanks to the well-known protective circuitry found in all DYNACORD power amplifiers, the highest degree of operational safety is guaranteed.

3. Effects and processing menu

The PowerMate 600-3 boasts an extensive effects section satisfying a wide variety of live and studio requirements: two independent, programmable effects processors, 2 x 100 live-optimised factory presets, 2 x 20 user memories, LPN filter and speaker protection. Further advantages include remote control (via MIDI), tap delay, USB configuration and a large, contrast-rich OLED display.

The PowerMate 600-3 is delivered with a plastic lid secured by magnets. A carrying bag (BAG-600PM) is available as an option, as is the RMK-PM600-3 mounting kit for rack installation.
