| The upgraded security system at Goodwood Festival of Speed relies on Bosch DiBos DVRs |
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is an annual hill climb featuring historic motor racing vehicles, held in the grounds of Goodwood House, West Sussex, England. It was started in 1993 by the present Earl of March in order to bring motor racing back to the Goodwood estate - a location steeped in British motor racing history. Shortly after taking over the estate in the early nineties, Lord March wanted to bring back motor racing to Goodwood Circuit, but did not have the necessary permit to host a race there. Therefore he instead hosted it in his own front garden.
Visitors are drawn to watch cars and motorbikes from over 100 years of motor racing history climb the famous Goodwood hill, including several of the latest Formula One machines. Since the early days, which received tens of thousands visitors over the weekend, the Festival has grown to attracting around 150,000 visitors over the three days it is held. This year attracted the second highest Festival attendance ever as fans came to catch a glimpse of World Champions Lewis Hamilton (F1) and Sebastien Loeb (WRC), as well as the latest F1 World Champion Jenson Button.
West Haddon-based Crimesecure Surveillance Services Ltd has worked very closely with several police forces for many years. This partnership involves providing advice and support for local crime reduction initiatives, as well as providing mobile CCTV coverage for crime operations and major events.

There is also the ability to store more memory - this is where the Bosch DiBos has been invaluable - during a three-day event there is a massive amount of video footage recorded, but we are able to quickly retrieve anything relevant should it be required."
DiBos is a powerful, network-oriented digital video surveillance and recording systems featuring advanced MPEG-4 digital encoding technology for the highest levels of image quality, information content, and data storage efficiency. DiBos gives authorised users fast, convenient access to view live or recorded images. DiBos allows up to 30 local cameras and up to 32 IP-networked cameras to be selected instantly, with multi-image or full-screen display. Date/time, location, zone and selected camera information are also displayed. A powerful search function enables recorded images to be found easily, and playback speed can be specifically controlled to pinpoint exact events. Searches can be made either locally or remotely, over a company network or via the internet.
The technology allows viewing of both live and recorded images on as many as 62 video channels, and has extensive communication, networking and systems interfacing features. It is designed for a range of applications including banks, retail chains, railway stations and airports, public and corporate offices, city centres, industrial facilities, and various other internal and external locations.
