The effectiveness of Bosch Security Systems' CCTV solutions was once again brought to life at a camera demonstration at a Water-Ski Club near its headquarters in Denham.

David Mulcahy, Bosch's CCTV Product Manager explained:  "Nothing convinces people more of the exceptional performance Bosch cameras deliver, than being able to see them in action with their own eyes.  This demonstration has become an annual event and one which gives installers and end-users alike the opportunity to see the advancements in Bosch's innovative technology.  Those in attendance this year saw the range of Dinion cameras in action - which were tested in a variety of light conditions using cameras from competitors as a demonstrative benchmark."

The event's lake-side location has been carefully chosen so that there is no light pollution, and the cameras can be tested from twilight to darkness with all attendees watching from the comfort of the water-ski lodge.  They witnessed the cameras switch from colour to monochrome to integration mode as the light conditions changed and using different types of light including halogen, infrared and innovative LED street lights were used.  As an additional test, a car was used to demonstrate the superiority of the Bosch cameras when trying to read the number plate with the car's headlights shinning directly at the cameras.

Each camera had a resolution of 540 TV lines and the best sensitivity performance came from Bosch's Dinion Day/Night IR sensitive camera (LTCO 620) - with its NightSense technology reaching 0.0024 lux.

Those present included key industry consultants, specifiers, engineers and a number of end users from the local councils, airports and other transport organisations.

Jeremy Hockham, UK Managing Director of Bosch Security Systems added:  "Many of the guests were astounded by the sensitivity, levels of detail and colour reproduction that Bosch cameras were capable of reproducing especially when the targets were not even visible to the naked eye.

"All of our cameras are designed and manufactured by Bosch and we spend record amounts on product research and development to make sure that we continue to provide the best cameras on the market.  We pride ourselves on the quality of our CCTV surveillance solutions, and with the easy set-up functions of our products, installations times are reduced and the reliability of each component means peace of mind for the customer."
