Bosch Security Systems has received factory certification from Lenel Systems International for the integration of more of the company’s Internet protocol (IP) cameras with the Lenel Network Video Recorder (NVR) 7.0, as well as certification for additional recording solutions with the OnGuard® access control system v6.6.

This expanded certification supports viewing live and recorded video from Bosch IP cameras using Lenel NVR systems, and display of video and Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) events from Bosch recording solutions in OnGuard.

“Bosch has completed required factory testing at Lenel to validate the interface of its latest IP cameras and recording devices to Lenel NVR and OnGuard,” said Gidon Lissai, director of strategic alliances, Lenel. “As part of this most recent certification, Bosch video alarm events can now be received within the OnGuard platform to provide our mutual customers with early risk detection for an improved level of facility control. Bosch works closely with Lenel on a growing number of supported IP video devices, and we look forward to their continued involvement in our OpenAccess Alliance Program.”

Lenel customers can now integrate Video Recording Manager 3.0 from Bosch, which provides immediate access to video stored across multiple iSCSI disk arrays and automatic balancing of video streams to optimize storage space and improve retention times. The certification also includes support for the DIVAR IP family of recording appliances that deliver intuitive, affordable and reliable IP video storage and management.

IVA events received from these recording solutions can be displayed in the OnGuard user interface, enabling operators to see video of alarms, such as the detection of perimeter breaches or loitering, along with color overlays that indicate where the alarm occurs in the scene. This provides virtual support for security personnel to ensure security risks are not missed.

With more Bosch cameras certified with the Lenel NVR, customers can choose from a variety of Bosch fixed and pan-tilt-zoom IP cameras. Fixed-camera models include the popular DINION and FLEXIDOME IP starlight 7000 HD cameras, which deliver video images in extreme low-light areas where other cameras fail; the DINION IP 4000 and IP 5000 HD cameras; and the FLEXIDOME IP 5000 family, including five-megapixel cameras for indoor and outdoor surveillance. In addition, the DINION IP imager 9000 HD and FLEXIDOME IP corner 9000 MP offer integrated infrared illumination for indoor and outdoor applications. Certified moving cameras include the new AUTODOME 7000 family of intelligent high-definition pan-tilt-zoom cameras. These cameras all feature unique technology from Bosch that automatically processes video images to improve details for objects of interest, while lowering bit rates to reduce network strain and storage costs.

“This certification ensures that customers can benefit from the intelligence built into Bosch cameras and recording solutions, which provide high-quality, relevant video images at lower costs,” said Brad Eck, integration manager, North America, Bosch Security Systems. “Integrating our detailed video streams and analytics with the OnGuard software gives users better visual information surrounding facility events and improved detection capabilities to enhance overall safety and security.”

The integration of Bosch IP cameras with OnGuard and the Lenel NVR also enables customers to verify system events and alarms by viewing video from Bosch devices directly in the OnGuard user interface. With the ability to see the source of an alarm using nearby Bosch cameras, security personnel gain the information they need to respond more appropriately. The integration supports the configuration of Bosch cameras and the operation of pan, tilt and zoom functions within the OnGuard system.
