Bosch Security Systems, Inc. is introducing a new family of DIVAR digital recorders that include support for the latest 960H ultra high-resolution analogue cameras. This latest 960H technology upgrades analogue systems to the highest analogue resolution possible, representing a cost-effective solution when HD image quality is not yet required. Thanks to the use of the latest generation of charge-coupled device (CCD) image sensors, 960H cameras provide a resolution of 720 television lines (TVL). With built-in 960H support, DIVAR recorders capture over 30% more horizontal resolution than comparable 760H systems, while their integrated HDMI outputs support large-format flat panel monitors for optimal image display. The new recorders from the DIVAR 3000/5000 family of four, eight, and 16-channel digital recorders fully support this 960H imaging technology and corresponding products.

The DIVAR 3000/5000 digital video recorders (DVRs) capture and display images in full 960H resolution at rates of up to 30 frames per second on all channels. They also support recording in QCIF, CIF, 2CIF, and 4CIF resolutions, as well as lower frame rates to reduce storage requirements if needed. Using the latest H.264 video and G.711 audio compression technology, the recorders further reduce bandwidth and storage needs, without compromising the image and audio quality. The DIVAR 3000/5000 DVRs are supplied with a number of preconfigured storage capacities, with additional expansion kits available for increasing storage capacity up to 12 TB, along with an optional DVD burner.

Customers can view the images from any location using the integrated client software, a web browser, or apps compatible with a range of mobile devices. Operation is simple thanks to the familiar Bosch user interface and menu selections, as well as comprehensive search and playback functions for fast reviewing and viewing of recorded video. The comprehensive set of alarm handling features includes remote notification as well as e-mail and on-screen alerts.

“The DIVAR 3000/5000 recorders complement our extensive portfolio of analogue 960H products,” comments Tom Verest, product manager at Bosch Security Systems. “With these, we are able to offer customers an analogue video solution for different application sizes, equally suitable for new installations and for upgrading existing systems.”

As with all DVRs from Bosch, the DIVAR 3000/5000 support plug-and-play installation, conform to the company’s high quality and reliability standards, and are backed by after-sales service and support.
