Bosch’s CCTV offerings become one with Lenel’s OnGuard access control system
Bosch's VIDOS and VMS can also be run alongside Lenel's OnGuard access control system

Bosch Security Systems is pleased to announce that they have completed the integration of many of their CCTV offerings directly into Lenel's OnGuard v6.3 access control system. This transparent integration delivers automated video and alarm verification - with both live and recorded Bosch video - so users can react to critical events without ever having to leave their OnGuard system.

This powerful integration means all the videos appear within the OnGuard application, eliminating the need to constantly refer back to the video management system user interface. The tight coupling of Bosch's video solutions and Lenel's OnGuard access control systems greatly simplify physical security management by facilitating threat detection and identification. The integration encompasses all of the following:

  • Bosch recording platforms, including Divar XF and DiBos hybrid recorders, recording at the edge or centralised storage including Direct-to-iSCSI, or Bosch Video Recording Manager (VRM)

The tight coupling of Bosch's video solutions and Lenel's OnGuard access control systems greatly simplify physical security management

And of course, Bosch's VIDOS and Bosch Video Management System can also be run alongside Lenel's OnGuard access control systems.

Bosch has ensured seamless operation, and made the integration compatible with key video technologies, including:

  • MPEG-4 and H.264 compression schemes
  • Real-time frame rates and full resolution
  • Automatic Network Replenishment (ANR), Bosch's patent-pending technology that buffers video in edge devices (Bosch IP cameras and encoders). Should a network interruption occur causing a "gap" in the video stored in the central recording system, ANR fills-in, or replenishes, the gap once the connection is restored so you never miss a thing
  • Intelligent Video Analysis predicts threats by analysing changes in the scene - now IVA in the camera or encoder can feed alarms to the Lenel system (for example, someone who is loitering near an OnGuard-secured door or gate)
