IDEAL Industries Networks, the networking technology division of IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC., announced recently that its SignalTEK II Qualifier has been named one of the Top 30 Technology Innovations of 2012 by Security Sales & Integration magazine.

"IDEAL is proud to be recognised as an innovative company that is making a meaningful difference in the experience of video surveillance technicians as they fulfil their important missions," said Richard Jones, Director of Sales & Marketing-Networks US, IDEAL Industries Networks. "Everyone at IDEAL Industries Networks continuously challenges themselves to find better ways to connect people to information; our SignalTEK II being named to the Top 30 list is proof that those efforts are paying off for our customers."

Products named to the coveted Top 30 awards are handpicked by Security Sales & Integration experts as the most noteworthy devices introduced that year, resulting in an industry-leading list of ingenious hardware designs, cutting-edge software and labour-saving installation tools.

SIGNALTEK II

The IDEAL SignalTEK II Qualifier is a cost-effective alternative to traditional cable certifiers. Perfect for small- to medium-sized LANs, SignalTEK II qualifies that copper or fibre cabling is capable of supporting bandwidth-heavy Voice, Data, Video (VDV) and IP-based video surveillance applications over 10/100 Megabit or Gigabit Ethernet. SignalTEK II then generates documentation verifying network connectivity and job completion to initiate customer payment.

Being a multifunctional device for both fibre and copper, SignalTEK II offers major cost savings, as it eliminates the need to purchase separate testers for different media. Also, because it troubleshoots throughput problems in existing installations, a separate transmission tester isn't required, presenting more savings for the contractor.
