HES, an ASSA ABLOY Group company, has introduced the redesigned Grade 1, windstorm rated 9600 Series electric strike. HES has also introduced a brand new magnetic template, to make strike installation even easier for the 9400, 9500 and 9600 Series electric strikes.

The updated 9600 Series is stronger, sleeker and easy to install, as it’s completely surface mounted with no cutting required. It’s been re-engineered for greater strength and durability, with an increase of 25% static strength and 40% dynamic strength - verified by a nationally recognised testing laboratory.

The HES 9600 Series surface mounted electric strike is designed to work with rim exit devices up to ¾” throw latchbolt, and has been aesthetically re-designed with a stainless steel cover in six finishes to match any décor. The new sleek design of the stainless steel decorative cover also complements ASSA ABLOY exit devices. With the base separate from the cover, adjustments have never been easier.

“At HES we believe in making products that are not only of the highest quality, but are also simple and easy to use,” said Michael Webb, Vice President of New Product Development, ASSA ABLOY EMS & OEM Group. “By reengineering the design of the 9600, we’ve been able to make it both stronger and more appealing, with a static strength up to 2,000 lbs. and dynamic strength of 120 ft-lbs.”
