PureTech Systems recently announced the next release of its PureActiv Wide Area Surveillance / PSIM software. PureActiv 10.0 continues the tradition to provide a high level of situational awareness that customers have come to expect from the geospatial-based command and control.
The newest release of PureActiv includes a new user interface, new geospatial features, additional video analytics and a vast array of new perimeter sensor integrations.
Client enhancements - The new release boasts an improved user interface, incorporating new control menu designs and the ability to more effectively display panoramic video sources. Other client features include the ability to efficiently process and display very large camera streams and detailed map images. This has become an essential VMS feature as cameras and maps continue to increase in resolution. The ability to digitally zoom on any live or recorded video, including PTZ cameras under operator control, has also been added.
Expanded geospatial capability - PureActiv has always had the capability to dynamically display the exact latitude and longitude of video and non-video targets on its map-based display. Version 10.0 adds the capability to indicate actual range to target and target elevation. This allows for greater situational awareness and more advanced integration with long range security sensors, essential for border-type applications. This same feature is also dynamic in nature, allowing for real time range to the object during PTZ control. This applies to manual PTZ control, as well as, PTZ Auto Follow, one of PureTech's intelligent video features that allows for hands-free PTZ tracking of an identified target.
Intelligent video - The new version of PureActiv includes many enhancements to the product's intelligent video algorithms. New Meta data features allow for faster searches, secure digital signatures and better ease of use for data collection in support of video prosecution. Improvements in PureActiv's learning background model allows for better detection of targets of interest in the presence of large moving objects, such as trains. Additionally, PureActiv 10.0 includes enhancements to many of the behavioral analytics, including dropped object, removed object, crowding and loitering. PureTech strives to have the highest performing analytic algorithms in the security market and the release of PureActiv 10.0 supports that vision.
Perimeter sensor integration - With the 10.0 release PureTech Systems continues in its tradition of having a robust 3rd party integration programme adding a multitude of integrations including new access control systems, fence intrusion sensors, acoustic deterrent devices, as well as, a large number of new fixed, PTZ, thermal and panoramic cameras.
"PureTech Systems is recognised as a leader in the development of intelligent video analytics, but it is important to note that we also provide PureActiv, which is a complete command and control solution including intuitive camera control, intelligent video analytics, geo-spatial map-based object tracking, object classification, 3rd party sensor integrations, alarm processing and policy based response," states Eric Olson, marketing vice president of Phoenix-based PureTech Systems. "All of our development and integrations are performed in house; this allows us to be very quick and responsive to our customers' needs. We have tried to reflect this in the release of PureActiv 10.0."
PureActiv 10.0 is currently available to new customers. Existing PureActiv customers should contact their support person to schedule an upgrade.
