SCIF Constructors and Electronics have installed systems in government installations across 32 states and in nine foreign countries

Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) congratulates SCIF Constructors and Electronics with a special award recognising the installation of their one-thousandth Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). The alarm system component of all systems installed since 2002 featured DMP technology, which is widely used in government, banking, and other installations requiring the highest security levels. The presentation was made at SCIF Constructors and Electronics’ offices in Chantilly, VA, at an event that included many of their customers.

"Everyone at DMP sends their congratulations to SCIF Constructors and Electronics, a valued, long-time DMP dealer,” said Director of Government Solutions, Vince Adams. “It is very satisfying to know that they are confident in including DMP technology in their Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility installations, which demand some of the most reliable, most secure alarm system technology available. We look forward to many more years of a mutually beneficial partnership with SCIF Constructors and Electronics.”

The company began in 1988 as a SCIF design/build company. In 2002, when the decided to enhance their capabilities with the addition of electronic security systems, they turned to DMP for the required technology and became a member of the DMP authorised dealer network. To meet UL2050 requirements, they required 128-bit AES encryption which was available at the time in the DMP XR200 panel. SCIF Constructors and Electronics relies mainly on the DMP XR500 and XR550 Command Processor Panels™ for intrusion detection and access control, with system management provided by DMP Entré Access & Security Management System Software.

SCIF Constructors and Electronics have installed systems in government installations across 32 states and in nine foreign countries.

SCIF’s are sites where highly classified intelligence information is processed. The access control and alarm system requirements for these facilities is tightly regulated and controlled by directives issued by the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), a Presidential Cabinet level position created after the terrorist attacks on 9/11.
