Honeywell MAXPRO Cloud integrated video surveillance and access control security system wins ESX award

The Electronic Security Expo (ESX) - the national trade event where electronic security and life safety dealers, integrators, and monitoring professionals connect, learn, and prepare for the future - announced the winner of ESX 2015 TechVision Challenge.

ESX continues to highlight next-generation technology in the electronic security and life safety industry. This year, ESX restructured its product and services awards program to address the innovative technology trends influencing the industry. Formally known as the Maximum Impact Awards, the ESX Innovation Awards celebrate those products and services that help security and life safety dealers, integrators and monitoring companies enhance the customer experience, improve top and bottom line results or achieve operational excellence.

Of the 25 ESX Innovation Award category winners, the judges nominated 10 products or services to compete in the inaugural event, ESX TechVision Challenge. The purpose of the event is to choose the “Best of Show”, an award that exemplifies the most innovative product or service for ESX 2015.

ESX TechVision challenge

The ESX TechVision Challenge is an interactive competition, featuring a lively, competitive battle where only the most innovative technology product or service will prevail. The TechVision Challenge is designed to be a head-to-head competition in a “Shark Tank” style format. Presiding over the competition, a group of industry judges, who in “Shark Tank” fashion, heard quick, energetic elevator pitches on the company and their product or service and made their case as to why they weredeserving of the top spot.

The winner of the 2015 ESX TechVision Challenge was announced on the ESX Stage in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday, June 25th before a crowd of security and life safety professionals. George De Marco, Chairman of ESX, emceed the event and acknowledged the 10 companies that participated in the challenge Bold Technologies for WebProtecMe, DynaQuip Controls for WaterCopPRO, Essence for Care@home, Honeywell Security Group for MAXPRO Cloud, Innovative Business Software for Safe and Secure, Interlogix for ZeroWire, I-View Now for I-View Now/Honeywell Total Connect Integration, Optex for SL-650 QDMQuad Photo Beam, Resolution Products for HeliPad Wireless Security Keypad, and ZKAccess for BioCam 300.

Honeywell MAXPRO integrated solution

The winner of the 2015 TechVision Challenge was Honeywell Security Group for its MAXPRO Cloud, an integrated video surveillance and access control security system that allows users visibility and control, anywhere, at any time across multi-site locations, from any computer, tablet or mobile device. This cloud hosted managed service solution provides insights across multi-site locations that allows users to monitor, manage, and control all their locations, all in one place, simplifying security management and streamlining operations in ways that were not possible.

Accepting the award on behalf of the Honeywell Security Group was Michael Coniff, Senior Product Marketing Manager, who was surprised and excited by the award. “We pride ourselves on implementing technology solutions that truly make a difference for the security professional and the end-user and MAXPRO Cloud does just that. The industry sharks who judged the TechVision Challenge were Don Childers, CEO of Smokey Mountain Systems, Robert Few, Director of Regulatory, Sales Operations and Customer Experience for Time Warner Cable – IntelligentHome and Steve Firestone, President of Select Security.
