Security systems integrator Bell Security Ltd has taken a lead role as a founding sponsor of CameraWatch (http://www.camerawatch.org.uk/).  This new organisation was launched on 30 May, 2007 to support understanding of CCTV and compliance with current UK policy and legislation.

The organisation's founding Chairman, Gordon Ferrie, expressed delight at Bell Security's sponsorship commitment to the launch and development of CameraWatch: "It's clear there is a need for an organisation dedicated to promoting the legal and effective use of CCTV.  Bell Security's support and input, as a business that has been involved at the core of this sector for over 20 years, will be an important asset in helping us achieve our goals."

CameraWatch is a not-for-profit, self-funded, advisory body.  It has been constituted with the support of the industry's regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office and anticipates building membership from groups including CCTV installers, manufacturers, suppliers, as well as end users, legal bodies and local authorities.
