Navtech Radar representative, Jason Burger, to speak at the Transport Security Expo 2010
The topic of Jason's presentation is ‘Technology advancements in perimeter detection and security'
Jason Burger, Sales & Marketing Manager of Navtech Radar, the world leading developer and manufacturer of millimetre wave (MMW) radar sensor solutions for outdoor Security and Surveillance applications, will be speaking at the Perimeter Protection & Intrusion Detection Workshop at Transport Security Expo and Conference on 14 September 2010.

The topic of the presentation is ‘Technology advancements in perimeter detection and security' and will focus on Security and Surveillance applications which can benefit from the application of high frequency radar for detection and tracking. Advantages include 360° detection providing real-time intruder locations and matching CCTV images. The presentation will further provide insight into the interpretation of radar data, the associated software analysis and how this enhances the capability of the security solution.

"Radar is a fast emerging technology for critical outdoor security and surveillance applications and we see an increasing interest for the technology from areas which have been troubled by unauthorised intruders. As the operators of key infrastructure sites, such as airports and naval ports have become increasingly aware that they could be targeted, the requirement is to implement technology solutions which not only detect intruders when they breach the perimeter, but also provide early warning when approaching a site or indeed track multiple intruders within a site," says Jason Burger and continues.

"As the threat from determined intruders continues to increase, the focus invariably moves towards technology solutions which facilitate early and continuous detection of threats in order to allow for more time to raise counter measures. At the workshop presentation we will provide insights into how security radar works and why this technology solution offers a unique capability to combat the threat from attempted perimeter incursion. We will also give examples of suitable applications for radar technology tracking movements between Controlled Zone and Restricted Zone and how you can identify unauthorised personnel or cars."

Jason Burger's presentation takes place on 14 September 2010 from 4.30 - 4.50 p.m.

Transport Security Expo and Conference is held at Olympia in London 14-15 September 2010. It is the only global event which brings together the key stakeholders and industry leaders from the areas of Aviation, Maritime and the supply chain under one roof, creating three events in one.
