Genetec’s Security Center, provides security operators with a single intuitive interface to move through powerful applications
Genetec has upgraded Security Center with various new features

Security Center, Genetec’s unified security platform, which blends IP license plate recognition, video surveillance and access control into one easy-to-use platform, introduces a host of new features.

Genetec, a leading producer of world-class IP unified security platforms, is attending the Essen Security trade show from September 25 to 28, 2012 in Essen, Germany. In its third consecutive year at this event, Genetec demonstrates the user-friendly features of its unified security platform, the Security Center, which seamlessly blends IP license plate recognition, video surveillance and access control systems into a single solution. Show attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about third party integrations such as KiwiVision Privacy Protector, a solution that ensures privacy is protected.

Genetec’s unified security platform, the Security Center, provides security operators with a single intuitive interface to move through powerful yet user-friendly applications, helping them accomplish their tasks in the shortest amount of time. Applicable to numerous industries such as transportation, city-wide surveillance, education and healthcare, the Security Center can manage hundreds or even thousands of remote systems from a central location, contributing to improved cost and operational efficiency.

Genetec has always recognised the importance of data protection. Through continual research and ongoing investigation, Genetec has developed a wide range of effective solutions specifically designed to ensure that anonymity and privacy are maintained at all times. Visitors to the Essen Security trade show can learn more about KiwiVision Privacy Protector, the video surveillance solution developed by Kiwi Security and now built into Genetec’s USP. This solution, which bears the European Privacy Seal, can be used to automatically blur people and vehicles in real time, while movements and behaviours remain identifiable.

The Security Center’s open, distributed architecture enables users to select their own material from a wide range of cameras and door controllers for optimal use of the existing system.

Nominated for the GIT Security Award 2013

The Security Center was recently nominated by the jury as a finalist for the GIT Security Award 2013, in the Safety and Security Management category. A jury of independent experts judges all products submitted to them for innovation, ease of use and cost-saving potential. The winners in each of the five categories are chosen by security professionals and the readers of trade journals GIT Sicherheit + Management and GIT Security. The jury is made up of representatives from the Federal Association of Manufacturers and Installers of Security Systems (BHE), the German Engineering Association (VDMA), the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (ZVEI) and the TÜV.
