Nortech Control Systems has installed its Norpass3 access control system at the new bottling facility of world-famous whisky producer, Glenmorangie
Glenmorangie needed a user-friendly, unobtrusive system that could manage the movement of over 100 personnel

Nortech Control Systems has recently had its Norpass3 access control system installed at the new bottling facility of world-famous whisky producer, Glenmorangie.

The renowned whisky manufacturer, which has been ‘pursuing perfection' since 1843, has recently relocated its bottling plant to new premises.

When deciding on a personnel access solution for the plant, it was important that the system met the customers' needs as well as their demand for high expectations.

They required a user-friendly, unobtrusive system that could manage the movement of over 100 personnel, easily control access rights to restricted areas and be managed centrally by the company's security team using existing networks. Reliance High-Tech, a leading security provider, chose to offer Norpass3 as the ideal solution.

The centralised administration allows the security team to monitor activities from one point, reducing time and effort as well as increasing efficiency. The intuitive software also allows them to manage functions such as adding and deleting cards, event reporting and the allocation of suitable access permissions.

Facilities Manager of The Glenmorangie Company Ltd., John Newlands said, "We are delighted with Nortech's access control system, which we find straight-forward and easy to use."

The scalability of the Norpass3 system installed enables future cost savings, as and when the company decides to implement access control on a larger scale.

The equipment was supplied and supported by BC Technology, one of Nortech's accredited access control distributors.
