Phil played an integral role in developing the ‘analogue to digital’ market for multinational telecommunications company Nortel

Phil previously served as Regional Director for Northern Europe at Axis Communication

Quadrant Security Group (QSG), part of Synectics plc, has appointed a new Managing Director – security and IT management expert Phil Doyle.

Phil joins the security systems integration company from global network video business AXIS Communications, where he held the post of Regional Director for Northern Europe - specialising in IP based surveillance and intelligent security systems for sectors including banking, public space, CNI, education, industrial, healthcare, retail and transportation.

Spanning more than 17 years, Phil’s career has also seen him hold senior positions at market leading technology firms including chip & pin business Thales, and electronic surveillance and RFID specialist, TAG. Having also played an integral role in developing the ‘analogue to digital’ market for multinational telecommunications company Nortel, Phil is looking forward to applying his experience to a new challenge.

He said: “I’m passionate about technology. But what really interests me is the service side of the industry, being able to build long term relationships with clients to really understand their business, their challenges and using this knowledge to advise on, and deliver, the best solutions. Historically that has been QSG’s strength and that is a great thing to build on. My task is to capitalise on this core strength and generate further industry awareness of the sheer breadth of the business’ ‘end-to-end’ security offering.”

Phil will report directly to Paul Moonan, Divisional Managing Director at Synectics plc.

Paul Moonan said: “We are delighted to welcome Phil on board. His extensive experience within the industry, and philosophy of focussing on service as the key to business development, is perfectly aligned with the values that have seen QSG go from strength to strength. His particular expertise in analogue to IP transition management is highly relevant to the sectors QSG serves, and to the security industry as whole.”
