QSG delivers a fully integrated multi-discipline security management solution for police sites

Quadrant Security Group (QSG), a subsidiary of UK-based Synectics plc, has secured a £2.7 million contract to develop and deliver security and CCTV solutions for Avon and Somerset Police.

The contract represents the culmination of nearly two years of consultancy and design work undertaken by QSG, to deliver a fully integrated multi-discipline security management solution for sites including three main operational police custody centres, and a tri-force shared tactical firearms training facility.

QSG is directly sub-contracted to Miller Construction, part of the Blue Light Partnership secured as main contractor by Avon and Somerset Police in September 2012.

Aaron Plant, Business Development Manager at QSG said: “We were able to engage with the Blue Light Partnership at an early stage which enabled us to offer our full range of consultation and design experience, in addition to our extensive programme management and project delivery capabilities.

“QSG has a strong heritage in delivering bespoke surveillance systems for the police sector and we will certainly be drawing on that experience in this project. We’re delighted to be working on such and exciting and extensive programme for Avon and Somerset Police.”

Work on the project commenced in January 2012 and is scheduled for completion in January 2014.
