ASSA ABLOY demonstrates UNION's codehandle, a popular keyless locking system on the market

ASSA ABLOY Access Control in partnership with Chubb Fire and Security is holding an open day on the prestigious Cambridge University campusto demonstrate the best route to cost effective and future proof security for educational buildings.

The free event on Wednesday 4th July 2012, held at the coveted Newton Suite in the Pitt Building of Cambridge University is being hosted by global leaders in door opening solutions ASSA ABLOY, together with Chubb Fire and Security.

All day live demonstrations will present state of the art security solutions, including the award winning Aperio wireless locking technology from ASSA ABLOY Access Control, which has been installed across several universities across the UK.

The event will be a unique opportunity to see how the Aperio™ product range has evolved to offer an even simpler way to upgrade the controllability and security level of any educational premises.  With new capabilities including a great capacity to integrate to even more systems, and various communication protocols, Aperio offers different cylinder and escutcheon types as well as a new one-to-many hub.

ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions will also demonstrate UNION’s popular Codehandle, one of the most convenient but effective keyless locking systems on the market together with UNION’s keyULTRA masterkey system featuring duraPIN technology, which offers exclusive key patent protection until 2028.

Additionally, a comprehensive range of electric strikes from Trimec, as well as door closers from ASSA ABLOY will be on show.  Information will also be available on ASSA ABLOY's DoorXpert app, designed to assist architects, specifiers and contractors to determine the correct class of door needed, based on its usage and according to BS EN 1191 and BS EN 12400.

Says Guy Willott, Senior Sales Manager for ASSA ABLOY Access Control: “This exclusive event is our chance as a group to present up to date security solutions for educational premises in a open and relaxed manner, and at such a prestigious venue where Aperio™ is already in place.

“We hope guests will find the day insightful and even enjoyable, especially with the level of expertise present. We anticipate some worthwhile feedback from our discussions to ensure we, as an industry, continue to deliver bespoke and high quality locking solutions that meet the exact needs of educational premises across the UK.”

Refreshments will be served all day with a buffet lunch from 12.30 until 2pm.  The event is being held with ASSA ABLOY Access Control, UTC, Chubb Fire and Security and ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions.
