Alex Graham, Chubb's star apprentice
Alex Graham is the the Chubb Security Apprentice of the Year
Chubb Security has recognised the skills and commitment of two of its apprentices at its annual awards with Alex Graham and Carl Greenacre earning the Chubb Security and Chubb Integrated Technologies Apprentice of the Year titles respectively. Chubb is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

Alex joined Chubb's apprentice scheme from school in September 2005, working in the company's Coventry branch to become a Systems Engineer. He has received full training for a career in security, recently completing the NVQ Level 3 certificate in Providing Security, Emergency and Alarms Systems. He has also completed the technical certificate Knowledge of Security and Emergency Alarms, achieving a Distinction for Intruder Alarms and a Credit for Electrical Principles.

Carl similarly joined the scheme from school in September 2004, working as part of the Transport projects team in Blackburn in the Chubb Integrated Technologies division. He too has achieved excellent results in his ONC and HNC courses and is now working towards a degree under the company's sponsored Employee Scholarship Programme.

Both apprentices received the prize on account of their knowledge and enthusiasm, as David Millett, Chubb Security's Training Manager explains:
