The program begins with basics of the Clery Act and relevant policies, working up to the discussion of more advanced concepts as the workshop progresses
Sessions are comprised of a 4 day workshop designed to be comprehensive training classes

STANLEY Security, a leading global security company specialising in advanced integrated security solutions on K-12 and higher education campuses nationwide, announces its partnership with the National Association of Clery Compliance Officers and Professionals (NACCOP) and D. Stafford & Associates to sponsor a series of seminars throughout 2014 as part of the organisation’s Advanced Clery Act Training Program, as well as the NACCOP Inaugural National Conference in Baltimore, MD, July 15-17, 2014.

For years, STANLEY has established itself as a leader at the forefront to enhance security at higher education facilities, colleges and universities throughout the country. As a premier provider of highly intuitive, integrated security solutions to promote safe learning environments, STANLEY is extending its efforts to help educate school administrators and policymakers on the complexities of the Jeanne Clery Act. Along with the NACCOP and D. Stafford & Associates, STANLEY’s sponsorship of the Advanced Clery Act Training Program exhibits a commitment to the national endeavour to secure campus environments through a widespread network of knowledge and information sharing.

Sessions are comprised of a four-day workshop, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day, designed to be comprehensive and intensive training classes; the seminars lecture on all elements of the Clery Act, as well as the 2008 HEOA security and safety requirements, including Fire Safety, Missing Persons and the new requirements in the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) passed in March 2013. The program begins with basics of the Clery Act and relevant policies, working up to the discussion of more advanced concepts as the workshop progresses. The series is geared toward individuals who have not had previous Clery Act training and those who want to enhance their knowledge of the law.

The classes are led by Dolores Stafford, President and CEO of D. Stafford & Associates and a recognised expert on the Clery Act. A premier consultant on campus security in both the law enforcement and security industries for the last 17 years, Stafford previously served as a university campus police chief for 26 years and developed the Advanced Clery Act Training Program and others to assist institutions in coming into and maintaining compliance with federal policies aimed to better protect and alert campus populations to an imminent threat or catastrophic event.

“As an avid supporter of the development of safety and security policies and solutions for higher education campuses, STANLEY understands the immense value of education on the intricacies of compliance driven initiatives such as the Clery Act,” said Kyle Gordon, Global Commercial Leader, Higher Education Market Solutions for STANLEY Security. “As a leading system integrator, it is our duty to understand the complexities of compliances so that we can properly drive technology and services that will best support these university law enforcement professionals. To that end, we’re proud to support Dolores Stafford’s education efforts, and hope her expertise will spread awareness of this integral policy and how compliance significantly enhances a safe campus environment.”

“We are thrilled to have STANLEY Security step up as a supporter of our Advanced Clery Act Training Program this year,” said Stafford. “We view these sessions as part of a much larger, national initiative to educate on and effectively implement those measures developed to maintain a safe campus. This partnership and program signifies a progressive approach to the higher education sector, and an effort to streamline communications and end violence at all of our nation’s universities.”
