STANLEY’s mission to make communities and schools safer, the company is providing funding opportunities for U.S. schools to receive security products and services through a $500,000 grant program
STANLEY currently secures more than 15,000 schools and educational institutions in North America

STANLEY Security, a leader in providing schools with safer learning environments, announces its TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program to help schools enhance their security on campuses. As part of STANLEY’s mission to make communities and schools safer, the company is providing funding opportunities for U.S. schools to receive security products and services through a $500,000 grant program.

“We are proud to offer the TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program to our nation’s schools,” states Chris Casazza, President STANLEY Mechanical Solutions. “The safety of our children is a top priority at STANLEY Security and this program will help schools get the additional security solutions they need to become safer. STANLEY remains committed to creating products that will continue to evolve the security of our schools allowing students and faculty to place their focus on education.”

Beginning September 13 through October 28, school officials across the country can nominate their individual school for the grant program online by visiting www.stanleysaferschools.com. Starting November 5, once nominations have been finalised, school administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents and the local community can vote daily online, or by texting the school name to 99222, for the chance to win. The school with the most votes by December 13 will win $200,000 in STANLEY Security installed products and services. Three runners-up will each receive $100,000 in STANLEY Security installed products and services. These products and services could include intruder classroom locks, traditional or audio intrusion systems, video surveillance, access control systems and more.

Each vote also counts as an entry to win a daily “Safety To-Go Kit” from STANLEY. The kit includes a first aid kit, flashlight, safety vest and many other functional items that, in addition to being essential in the event of an emergency, are great safety educational tools for children.

Winners will be notified in December 2013, and prizes will be awarded in 2014.

STANLEY, who currently secures more than 15,000 schools and educational institutions in North America, is working together with students, teachers and school officials to ensure that safety is a top priority. “Our trusted STANLEY Security advisors know that each school or district has its own unique security needs and through this exciting grant opportunity, our experts can help to find the right mix of comprehensive solutions to meet any challenges a school may face,” states Marty Guay, Vice President Sales STANLEY Convergent Security Solutions. “We want to spread the word about the TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program to unite communities around making schools as safe as possible. STANLEY is committed to ensuring the safety of students, teachers, and school officials, so that schools can focus on what’s important— education.”
