Axis Communications network video surveillance products are popular on the market
Axis is expanding its global operations and in the next few days a sales office will be opened in Mexico. Axis sees a great interest for network video in the market and by strengthening its local presence, the company will gain a better opportunity to develop the market in Central America.

Since year-end, Axis has increased its global presence with its own personnel in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. The company today has a presence with its own personnel in 37 countries. At August 31, Axis had 1061 employees, an increase of 147 people since year-end.

"The expected growth rate for the video surveillance market continues to be high. Demand for network video products is increasing and we have seen a continued inflow of projects for installations within retail, the transport sector and in public environments. The benefits of network video when it comes to image quality and cost efficient installations continue to drive the technology shift in all markets", says Ray Mauritsson, President of Axis.

Axis develops and markets network video products and is driving the technology shift in the security industry from analogue to digital surveillance. Today, new sales of network video products represent approximately 30 percent of the global market, and that figure is expected to increase to approximately 50 percent by 2015.
